Sitting Volleyball – Derby

Sitting Volleyball sessions are starting at Derby Arena on Wednesday 9 September at 8.30pm until 10pm and will cost £5 per person.

Sitting volleyball has grown to be one of the most popular Paralympic sport due to the fast and exciting action. At club level, the game offers both disabled and non-disabled players the opportunity to compete both with and against each other.

A brief overview of the game:
•Sitting Volleyball is played on a 10 x 6 meter court
•The game is played with a 0.8 meter wide net set to a height of 1.15 meters for men and 1.05 meters for women
•There are six players on each side
•When hitting or attacking the ball, the player must have one ‘buttock’ or an extension of the torso still in contact with the floor.

You don’t need to book on for these sessions, just turn up and play!

These sessions will be supported by the Darkstar Volleyball Club.

Go Spike Volleyball

Spike Volleyball sessions are starting at Derby Arena on Wednesday 9 September at 7pm until 8.30pm and will cost £5 per person.

It doesn’t matter how old or fit you are or whether you’re able bodied or disabled, volleyball is a very social game. It’s the only hi-energy, zero body contact team sport that you can play indoors and outdoors whatever your ability is. Volleyball can enhance your life, improve fitness and coordination.

You don’t need to book on for these sessions, just turn up and play!

These sessions will be supported by the Darkstar Volleyball Club.
