First of all, our aim at Northamptonshire volleyball is to provide information to the county’s residents about opportunities for social volleyball. Also, we feel it is important to promote the competitive clubs in the county as some have a junior section too.
At these clubs there is also the opportunity to train to a competitive level not just recreation volleyball. They tend to have Regional or National League (NVL) teams in addition to training sessions.
Furthermore, we are keen to encourage new players as part of our commitment to further the sport in Northamptonshire.
Moving forward it is especially relevant that more schools have volleyball on the curriculum. Since we are aware that more are doing this in Northants we are looking to bring these together in a competitive environment. As a result of this we will be venturing into local schools. Further more we will work with Northamptonshire Sport and the change for life program to achieve this.
Almost as important as the Juniors is our adult offering especially in a competitive format. Hence, the Northamptonshire Volleyball Association also runs a local county league in the form of a men’s and women’s league.
Northants volleyball association wants to keep you up to date with what is going on. Maybe, you are a social group in the Northants area and would like more members? Or are you thinking of starting a group just get in contact and let us know.
Finally, if you have any volleyball news, events or anything else related just get in touch.
