University – University of Lincoln

Uni of lincoln volleyball logoThe key aim of the Sports Club shall be to welcome all abilities to participate socially, and competitively play in the local and BUCS fixtures. By arranging events, we aim to increase the profile of volleyball in the Lincolnshire area.

By increasing the number of competitive training sessions, we aim to win at least 50% of our matches played in both the LVA and BUCS.

The club enter men’s and women’s teams in the University BUCS leagues and play against a variety of other universities. With both the men’s and women’s teams the club welcomes members of either sex and of any ability.

With an active all round social side the society has been a big favourite amongst the university’s international students.

Spalding Saracens (Juniors)

Whilst retaining its integrity and reputation for working with young people it has for some time operated in partnership with a junior group and more recently a womans group. Consequently the club is going through the process of merging all three groups together. In order that the young people still retain some control they will remain as members of the committee.

Training sessions will remain separate for the three groups but the change will enable team selection to incorporate players from any of the groups.

Consequently Junior training (10-13yrs) is on Mondays at 18.30 -20.00. (cost £2.00)

Lincoln volleyball group photoLincoln Cannons Volleyball Club strives to develop and grow a sustainable structure that provides for the community, with long term goals being to:

  • Expand the junior section (through a Junior Development Programme).
  • Have more high level junior players feeding into adult teams.
  • Increase the number of players of all ability levels.
  • Improve the level of participation.
  • Increase the number of club members.
  • Provide a sporting environment for social interaction.

We aim to provide a club that is accessible to all participants to play the indoor standing game; one that will provide a safe, caring and friendly environment for club members of various ages, abilities and gender.
